Overview
Carrollton police said a 69-year-old suspect, identified as Seung Ho Han (also reported as Seung Han Ho and Sung Ho Han), was arrested after two shootings that left two people dead and three others wounded.
Police said the first shooting happened inside Gwang Jang Korean Market at the K Towne Plaza around 9:57 a.m., where officers found four adults with gunshot wounds and one person was pronounced dead.
Officers later found a second deceased adult male inside an apartment on the 2700 block of Old Denton Road after a separate shooting reported at 11:13 a.m., investigators said.
Detectives said the suspect acknowledged shooting all five victims and told investigators he was angry over financial disagreements related to a business relationship, Carrollton Police Chief Roberto Arredondo said.
FBI agents and the Texas Department of Public Safety assisted the ongoing investigation as several nearby businesses closed and local Korean community members expressed shock and concern, officials said.
Analysis
Center-leaning sources present the coverage neutrally, emphasizing verified facts and official statements. They foreground police briefings about the suspect, motive uncertainty, and the ruling out of a hate crime, and add local context (a "thriving Koreatown") without loaded judgment.
