The reporting
President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced a $22.5 billion, 10-year overhaul of Washington Dulles International Airport, presenting a scale model in the Oval Office with Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby. The plan would add or renovate more than 5 million square feet, replace the C and D concourses, expand parking and entryways, and preserve the airport’s main terminal. It would also eliminate Dulles’s mobile-lounge “people movers,” replacing a shuttle system long used to carry passengers between terminals and gates.
