Man sentenced to two years in prison for stealing unreleased Beyoncé music
Overview
Kelvin Evans, 41, pleaded guilty in Fulton County Superior Court and was sentenced to two years in prison and three years of probation, prosecutors said.
Police said the theft occurred on 8 July 2025 when two suitcases were taken from a rented 2024 Jeep Wagoneer belonging to choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue.
Prosecutors said surveillance videos showed a red Hyundai linked to Evans and that stolen laptops' tracking signals placed the items at addresses seen in the footage.
Police said the stolen property included two MacBook laptops, five jump drives, hard drives with watermarked unreleased music, designer clothing, sunglasses and Apple AirPods Max.
Evans was arrested in August to September 2025 and pleaded guilty ahead of a scheduled trial, and investigators have not recovered the hard drives or other stolen items, police said.

They avoid evaluative language, prioritize chronology (plea, sentence, break-in, arrest), and attribute claims to sources (police, choreographer, dancer), offering balanced reporting without editorializing or omitted significant viewpoints.
