The reporting

A neutral summary of the key facts most outlets agree on, drawn from reporting across the political spectrum.

Elon Musk said his AI tool Grok Imagine will produce a “historically accurate” feature-length adaptation of Homer’s “The Odyssey” before the end of the year, extending his criticism of Christopher Nolan’s new film. Nolan’s “The Odyssey” earned more than $124 million domestically and $264 million worldwide over the weekend despite pre-release criticism from Musk over casting choices. Musk objected to Black and transgender actors, including Lupita Nyong’o as Helen of Troy, and accused Nolan of race-swapping characters. He also said he was willing to fund a rival adaptation.

Musk’s AI grievanceLeans Left

Musk’s proposed AI-made Odyssey is a reactionary, tasteless attempt to answer Christopher Nolan’s film. It would be an inferior project driven by right-wing grievance over diverse casting rather than real artistic vision.
