The Drug Enforcement Administration has joined Greenville police and the local coroner’s investigation into Hayden Panettiere’s death, while detectives examine whether any criminal conduct contributed. Panettiere, 36, was found unresponsive Sunday at a Greenville, South Carolina, residence and was pronounced dead at 2:31 p.m.; officials have not determined the cause or manner pending additional tests. A police report says Brian Hickerson, her on-and-off boyfriend, and his brother Zach Hickerson were at the apartment when officers arrived and paramedics were performing CPR.
