What happened

Dolly Parton’s estate filed for a restraining order against her nephew Bryan Seaver, accusing him of threatening violence and trying to extort money while disrupting estate business. The dispute sits inside Parton’s posthumous estate and business structure, run by longtime manager Danny Nozell through She’s Alive LLC to protect her professional property and other interests. Seaver had served as Parton’s head of security, ran Squadron Augmented Protection Services, and announced her death in an Instagram video on Aug. 25. Seaver and his lawyer deny the messages were threats, calling them private grief-fueled rage talk about business people who wronged Parton. The court request seeks to keep Seaver away from estate staff, offices, properties, and business dealings.
