BalancedLos Angeles County medical examiner records show that former child actor Daveigh Chase died from acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, or AIDS, after her death on June 16 at age 35. The report also lists chronic polysubstance use as a contributing condition, and officials classified the manner of death as natural. Chase was best known as the voice of Lilo in Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” and for playing Samara in “The Ring,” with other credits including “Spirited Away” and “Big Love.” Her death drew renewed attention after the official cause was released roughly two weeks later.
