FDA Approves Daraxonrasib

The FDA approved Revolution Medicines’ daraxonrasib, to be sold as Rasonque, for adults with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma who have received prior treatment or cannot receive combination chemotherapy. The oral RAS inhibitor targets the protein activity that drives tumor growth in most pancreatic cancers, including the common pancreatic adenocarcinoma subtype. In a late-stage trial, patients receiving Rasonque had median overall survival of about 13 months, nearly double the survival reported with standard chemotherapy. The approval gives U.S. patients the first targeted pill for this setting.
