Summary
Ecuadorian soccer player Marco Angulo, 22, has died from injuries sustained in a car crash on October 7. The crash, which also resulted in the death of his teammate Roberto Cabezas, left Angulo with severe head injuries and a lung contusion, leading to his passing after being placed in an artificial coma. Both FC Cincinnati, where Angulo was on loan from LDU Quito, and the Ecuadorian Football Federation expressed their deep sorrow over his death. Angulo is survived by his wife and young son. He made his national team debut in 2022 after playing in youth squads.
