The reporting

A neutral summary of the key facts most outlets agree on, drawn from reporting across the political spectrum.

Five people killed when an Amazon Prime Air Boeing 767 operated by 21 Air overran a runway at Miami International Airport on Sunday were all inside a white Ford van owned by Professional Ocean Service Corp., a contractor that shuttles aircraft-cleaning crews. The jet, arriving from Puerto Rico, failed to stop, struck the van and another vehicle near the airport perimeter, broke through a fence and caught fire. Both pilots survived and were released from the hospital; two other injured people remained in critical condition. The NTSB is investigating, while two of MIA’s four runways remained closed Tuesday.
