A source familiar with the matter said, “The deep state firings have begun,” while declining to specify how many employees had been dismissed or reassigned. The move came just days after Pulte took over the role and followed earlier reporting that he was considering hundreds of job cuts as part of Trump’s push to shrink federal intelligence agencies.
