The reporting

A neutral summary of the key facts most outlets agree on, drawn from reporting across the political spectrum.

Members of the white nationalist group Patriot Front marched through Washington, DC, on July 4 as the capital hosted Independence Day and Freedom 250 events. Videos showed hundreds of masked men in khakis carrying American flags, Confederate flags and red-white-and-blue shields, with some American flags displayed upside down. The group gathered near Union Station and was also seen around Capitol Hill and the Eastern Market Metro station. Marchers chanted "Reclaim America" and anti-immigrant slogans, including calls to remove immigrants from the country.
