President Donald Trump held separate calls with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to discuss ending the war in Ukraine, now in its fifth year. The Kremlin said Trump’s July 4 call with Putin lasted nearly 90 minutes and included a renewed U.S. offer to help facilitate an end to hostilities and pursue peace talks. Moscow-installed officials in Russian-occupied Crimea said a Ukrainian attack in northern Crimea killed one person and injured two others, including one seriously.
