A 28-year-old Mexican citizen fleeing an encounter with Homeland Security Investigations and ICE agents in St. Augustine, Florida, was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer around 6:40 a.m. Tuesday, authorities said. The unidentified man was one of four people in a vehicle stopped in the parking lot of a gas station and convenience store shortly before 6:45 a.m. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the fatal collision. It was the third death in a week involving encounters with ICE or DHS agents, after shootings in Texas and Maine.
