The reporting

A neutral summary of the key facts most outlets agree on, drawn from reporting across the political spectrum.

Napa County prosecutors charged Paul Pelosi, 86, husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, with misdemeanor hit-and-run over a July 3 crash in California. The district attorney’s office also filed an infraction for an unsafe turning movement. Prosecutors said Pelosi allegedly struck an unoccupied parked Tesla, left the scene, and the vehicle had major damage. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 14 in connection with the misdemeanor charge.
