Netanyahu-Mamdani Clash

Benjamin Netanyahu has accused New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani of “fomenting hate,” saying Mamdani’s calls for his arrest are making Jewish New Yorkers afraid and rejecting the ICC charges as “bogus.” Netanyahu says he will travel to New York in September to address the UN General Assembly despite the International Criminal Court’s 2024 arrest warrant over alleged war crimes in Gaza. Mamdani has called Netanyahu a war criminal who should be arrested if he enters the city, while acknowledging he lacks authority to execute the warrant. NBA forward Kyle Kuzma also criticized Mamdani as “a mayor playing president.”
