Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill announced Saturday that her office will investigate Dr. Anthony Fauci to determine whether any alleged offenses tied to his COVID-19 actions can be pursued under state law. The announcement followed a Senate hearing Wednesday at which Fauci, former NIAID director and White House chief medical adviser, invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times. Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said Wednesday his office was opening a similar probe. Louisiana joins Florida and Alabama in state-level inquiries into Fauci’s pandemic-era conduct.
