The reporting
U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv on Sunday, their first official Ukraine visit in the Trump administration’s renewed push to end Russia’s full-scale invasion. The visit followed more than three hours of talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Saturday. No breakthrough was announced; Witkoff called the Kyiv discussions substantive and said the U.S. wants another round of negotiations involving Washington, Kyiv and Moscow. Zelenskyy said Ukraine needs security guarantees and expects the war to continue into winter.
