Today, attention shifted to Phoenix, where a newly unveiled statue of late Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk outside the group’s headquarters was vandalized with red paint. The roughly eight-foot statue was unveiled September 10, one year after Kirk was killed at a Utah Valley University event. A nearby memorial sign was also defaced, with paint over Kirk’s face and “Jesus.” Turning Point USA said it would restore the statue, replace signs, review footage, and work with police. Phoenix police said no suspect was publicly identified Sunday afternoon.

Coverage focused on hostility to Kirk’s legacy, the police inquiry, and restoration. Breitbart reported the Phoenix headquarters statue was vandalized, and said a nearby sign had red paint over Kirk’s face and “Jesus.” One America News Network said the statue marked the first anniversary and cited police response shortly after 8:00 a.m. The Daily Wire said police were investigating with no suspects by Sunday afternoon. Townhall blamed the Left, while The Post Millennial said the team restored the statue.
