The reporting

A neutral summary of the key facts most outlets agree on, drawn from reporting across the political spectrum.

CBS Sports placed Tony Romo on leave “until further notice” from his lead NFL analyst role after his July 23 arrest in Wisconsin on suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence. J.J. Watt will replace Romo on the network’s No. 1 NFL broadcast team, working with play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz and sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson during the absence. Romo, 46, is a former Dallas Cowboys quarterback who has served as CBS’s top NFL color analyst.
