The reporting
Former NBA players Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White are not eligible for the WNBA draft, a person familiar with the decision said Monday. Both had declared plans to enter the draft and said they identify as transgender. The league has not publicly explained the eligibility decision; an anonymous WNBA source said it would not “give oxygen” to efforts meant to mock the league or marginalize others. Freedom attended a Chicago Sky game Sunday and was reported to have been ejected.
