Framework unveiled the Laptop 13 Pro at an April 2026 event in San Francisco, introducing a ground-up redesign with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 (Panther Lake) processors.
The Laptop 13 Pro promises up to 20 hours of battery life with a 22% larger battery and Panther Lake chips, and includes the company's first touchscreen and an Ubuntu-certified prebuilt option, Framework said.
CEO Nirav Patel positioned the Laptop 13 Pro as "the MacBook Pro for Linux users" and emphasized factory Linux installs and Ubuntu certification, saying surveys show slightly more Linux than Windows users on Framework Laptop 13.
The 13.5-inch 2880x1920 touchscreen weighs 1.4kg and is configurable with up to 64GB of memory and up to 8TB of storage, with DIY editions starting at $1,199 and prebuilt Ubuntu units from $1,499.
Preorders are open with first shipments rolling out in June, and Framework previewed an OCuLink Dev Kit for external GPUs and a wireless couch keyboard coming later this year.
