The Miami Dolphins released eight-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill and are also cutting Bradley Chubb, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and James Daniels, multiple outlets reported Monday.
The moves, made by new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan, aim to create salary-cap space and address roster plans as the new league year is scheduled to begin on 11 March.
NFL Network said Chubb’s release was anticipated after Miami restructured his contract last year, producing a $31.2 million cap hit for 2026.
Releasing Hill will save $22.8 million against the 2026 salary cap, cutting Chubb would save $7.3 million immediately or $20.2 million as a post-1 June release, and releasing Daniels and Westbrook-Ikhine saves $6.5 million in 2027 and $1.5 million in 2026 respectively, reports said.
Hill is recovering from a torn ACL and dislocated knee sustained on Sept. 29 against the New York Jets and will be an unrestricted free agent for the first time, reports said.
