The reporting

A neutral summary of the key facts most outlets agree on, drawn from reporting across the political spectrum.

Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis said they fired dozens of missiles and drones at Saudi Aramco facilities in Jazan and Yanbu, escalating cross-border fire along the Red Sea. The group said the attacks answered Saudi-led coalition airstrikes on Hodeidah, Yemen’s strategic Red Sea port city, on July 25. Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree, the Houthi military spokesperson, announced the operation as Iran reported no overnight strikes and U.S. Central Command reported no new strikes on Iran for the first time since July 13.
