Twenty-six current and former Meta employees filed a federal lawsuit Monday in Northern California alleging the company used internal AI-assisted workplace tools to choose workers for its May layoffs. The plaintiffs say the systems relied on employee-monitoring and performance data that penalized or flagged people who took medical, parental or family leave, requested disability accommodations, or were pregnant.
