Oracle sent force majeure notice to Blue Owl Capital’s Stack Infrastructure on Project Jupiter, the New Mexico data center campus tied to the Stargate AI buildout. The notice protects Oracle’s contract position if the project misses its planned 2028 opening, rather than letting Oracle exit the deal. Project Jupiter is a planned 2.45-gigawatt hyperscale data center backed by Oracle, OpenAI and SoftBank. It has faced energy delays, including a gas pipeline setback and a pending air-quality permit. Oracle said the project remains on schedule, while Blue Owl said financial commitments are unchanged. Oracle shares fell about 4% Thursday as investors questioned its data-center capacity. Next is whether the campus meets its target and whether Oracle can defer payments.
