Ed Sheeran Concerts Canceled

Ed Sheeran’s Friday and Saturday concerts at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, were canceled because of a dangerous nor’easter forecast for New England and the East Coast. The same storm also shut down major East Coast events, including Global Citizen Festival in New York and Maryland’s Oceans Calling festival. The tour was already unsettled after Macklemore was removed from the U.S. leg following pro-Palestinian comments and support for Palestinian relief. The promoter and venue said safety drove the decision after talks with local officials. Robert Kraft said Macklemore was barred over his actions and what Kraft called antisemitic rhetoric. Macklemore blamed Kraft, while Sheeran blamed the promoter. Weather remains the next factor.
