Duane Davis Convicted In Tupac Murder

A Clark County, Nevada, jury convicted Duane “Keffe D” Davis, 63, of first-degree murder with use of a deadly weapon in Tupac Shakur’s 1996 killing, deliberating less than three hours. Prosecutors said Davis, a former South Side Compton Crips leader, organized the drive-by, obtained the gun and helped set the shooting in motion, without alleging he fired the fatal shots. Shakur, 25, was shot on September 7, 1996, after a Mike Tyson fight in Las Vegas and died six days later. Davis is scheduled for sentencing Oct. 13, and his lawyer said he will appeal.
