Two people were killed and the suspected shooter also died in a Sept. 2 shooting at a high-rise apartment building near 15 East Grant Street in downtown Minneapolis. Six other people were injured, including three Minneapolis police officers; two officers suffered gunshot wounds and the officers were reported in stable condition. Officers were dispatched around 4:36 p.m., found a shooting victim inside the building and followed gunfire to an upper floor. One victim died at the scene, another died after reaching Hennepin County Medical Center, and the suspect’s cause of death was not immediately known.
