The reporting
A federal grand jury indicted ICE officer Christian Castro on six counts accusing him of lying to investigators about his Jan. 14 shooting of Venezuelan immigrant Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis in Minnesota. Castro shot Sosa-Celis in the leg during immigration enforcement operations in Minneapolis, and the federal case alleges he made false statements to the FBI about what led to the gunfire. Castro later turned himself in to federal authorities and was taken into custody. The indictment follows separate scrutiny of the shooting, including a civil-rights investigation in Minnesota.
