The reporting
Vice President JD Vance said Thursday he knew of no “special security concern” behind President Trump’s plan to skip the Ground Zero ceremony for the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Trump is expected to commemorate the attacks at the Pentagon, while Vance said he will attend the New York City ceremony alongside former President Joe Biden. Asked about seeing Biden, Vance joked that he expected “many, many intense intellectual conversations.” Vance made the remarks while leading a White House press briefing that also covered Iran, inflation and GOP politics.

Inappropriate Biden jabBalanced
JD Vance used a solemn 9/11-related moment at the White House to take a political swipe at Joe Biden. The joke was out of place and came across as mocking rather than statesmanlike.
