The reporting
OpenAI began a phased rollout Thursday of GPT-6 Astra, giving initial access to a limited set of customers, including enterprise clients in its Daybreak cybersecurity program. The company said Astra outperforms GPT-5.6 and is its first model to cross its “critical” cybersecurity capability threshold, triggering advanced internal safety protections. OpenAI cited gains in computer and browser use, coding, math, scientific research, workplace tasks and defensive cybersecurity. President Greg Brockman said the release puts OpenAI in the “AGI era,” its term for systems that outperform humans at most economically valuable work.
