The talks aligned with Demis Hassabis’s July proposal for a U.S.-led standards body. Dario Amodei urged companies to pace frontier models and said government help may be needed to avoid antitrust problems. Sam Altman said fear is understandable, but people should trust AI firms; he also said OpenAI would embed third-party safety evaluators.
