Russia bombarded Kyiv and the surrounding region for more than 12 hours overnight into Tuesday, killing at least 12 people and injuring about 20, including children, Ukrainian officials said. Ukraine’s state railway Ukrzaliznytsia said six employees were killed when a ballistic missile hit a locomotive depot in Kyiv, as other railway facilities were also struck. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia used jet-powered drones and ballistic missiles in the assault, the sixth straight day of intensified attacks on the capital region.
