The reporting
President Donald Trump revived speculation about regime change in Iran on Tuesday night, asking on Truth Social when Iranians would “rise up and fight” as U.S. military and economic pressure intensified. Trump denied he was trying to force Tehran back to negotiations, saying he “couldn’t care less” about a deal and that the U.S. had “almost total control” of the Hormuz Strait. On Wednesday, he said the U.S. could launch more strikes “anytime we want” after Iran retaliated with missiles and drones. Aides are seeking to limit escalation before the Nov. 3 midterms and may consider expanding military action afterward.

Iranian-Led ChangeLeans Right
Iran’s political future should be shaped by Iranians themselves rather than imposed through U.S. or Israeli nation-building. Supporting the Iranian people’s aspirations is legitimate, but it should not be treated as a call for externally forced regime change.
